The contents included in the artwork are taken from the artist’s actual visits to these cities, and window views from Tokyo, New York, and Hong Kong are incorporated into the artwork in conjunction with city views from Taipei. As settings from these countries are placed next to each other and as they become neighbors, it is symbolic of the transit system transporting and welcoming travelers from all over the globe. Through art, the window views are turned into abstract icons in the shape of “□”, and they are used to present the connections between the various international destinations. A sense of borderless global outlook is also conveyed.
